Terms of Service
Effective date: July 23, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and InterviewMe (“InterviewMe”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the InterviewMe website, applications, and services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
InterviewMe is a two-sided professional platform. Professionals maintain profiles built from material they provide — documents, résumés, professional highlights, portfolios, links, and testimonials — and an AI assistant answers visitors’ questions on the professional’s behalf, grounded in that material. Hirers and recruiters may view profiles, ask questions, download résumés where permitted, and (with a Recruiter subscription) search the professional database and use team and bulk-outreach tools.
InterviewMe is a discovery and communication platform only. We are not an employment agency, recruiter, or staffing firm; we are not a party to any application, interview, offer, or employment relationship; and we do not guarantee that any profile will be seen, that any candidate will be contacted or hired, or that any search will surface any particular candidate.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You agree to register with accurate information, to keep your account information current, and to maintain the confidentiality of your credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may decline, suspend, or reclaim account handles that infringe others’ rights or mislead.
3. Your content and license to us
You retain ownership of everything you upload or write on the Service — documents, résumés, profile text, portfolio items, images, messages, questions, and testimonials (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, display, and distribute Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service — including converting documents for display, generating thumbnails and previews, computing search indexes and embeddings from your material, and generating AI answers on your behalf. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from the Service, except as retention is described in the Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit Your Content and that it is accurate and not misleading. Do not upload material you do not have the right to share, including confidential material of a current or former employer.
Testimonials. A testimonial you submit at another user’s invitation becomes part of that user’s profile at their discretion: the profile owner chooses whether and where it appears, but cannot edit its text — what you submitted is what is shown. Submitting a testimonial is your consent to its display with the attribution you provided.
4. AI-generated answers
Answers, summaries, and yes/no assessments (“verdicts”) produced by a profile’s AI assistant are generated automatically from material the profile owner provided. They are not statements by InterviewMe, may be incomplete or incorrect, and are not a warranty of any fact about any person. Where the assistant lacks material to answer, it is designed to say so rather than invent an answer, but no AI output should be relied upon without independent verification. Hiring decisions must not be made solely on AI output.
Questions are visible to the profile owner. By asking a question of a profile — in profile chat or through recruiter bulk or refinement tools — you agree that the question text and the AI’s answer are visible to the profile’s owner. Question privacy from the owner is not offered; this is a condition of using the feature. Your identity is not shown to the profile owner.
5. Search, discovery, and disclosure of search activity
When a search you run returns a profile, we record the appearance and what follows from it — including the profile’s position in your results and whether you opened the profile, added it to a folder, or downloaded a résumé. By using search you agree that this activity is disclosed to the professionals it concerns as follows: each returned professional may see the text of the search query, the position at which their profile appeared, and whether their résumé was downloaded or they were added to a list — never your name, email, or organization. Aggregate, non-identifying counts (views, downloads, referrer domains) are likewise shown to profile owners.
6. Subscriptions, tokens, and payment
Plans. The Service offers paid subscriptions, currently: Premium for professionals ($19/month or $190/year) — extended analytics and data export, search-query visibility, multiple portfolios, expanded content limits, and profile-appearance features; and the Recruiter Account ($48/month or $480/year) — candidate search, organizations and teams with 5 included seats, and 1,000 question tokens per month, with extra seats and token packs available separately. Features and prices may change; changes to a subscription’s price take effect at your next renewal after notice.
The free year for people between jobs. We offer one free year of Premium to anyone who tells us they are between jobs. It is an honor system: we will not ask you to prove anything, and we ask that you claim it only if it is true for you. Each account may start one free year, ever; it is not transferable and has no cash value. For a paying Premium member it applies as twelve months at no charge on your existing subscription. We may withdraw a free year granted under a false claim, and we may close the program to new claims at any time — free years already started are honored in full.
Billing. Payments are processed by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not receive or store full card numbers. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until canceled. You may cancel at any time through the billing page; cancellation stops future renewals, and paid features remain available through the period already paid. Except where required by law or expressly stated in these Terms, payments are non-refundable.
Question tokens. Monthly included tokens expire at the end of each monthly grant period and do not carry forward. Purchased tokens carry forward while your account remains active and expire 60 days after your account ceases to be a paid account. Tokens have no cash value and are not transferable or redeemable. Where a bulk question permanently fails to produce an answer, we credit the token back; such courtesy credits are the exclusive remedy for failed answers.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- provide false or misleading profile information, impersonate any person, or misrepresent an affiliation;
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-download profiles, content, or data, or access the Service by automated means except through interfaces we provide;
- send spam or unlawful, harassing, or deceptive messages; interfere with the message-filtering, rate-limiting, or moderation systems; or attempt to circumvent any usage limit, paywall, or entitlement gate;
- upload malicious code, probe or disrupt the Service’s infrastructure, or attempt to access another user’s account or non-public data;
- use AI answers, verdicts, or search results to make employment decisions in violation of applicable law, including anti-discrimination law — recruiters are solely responsible for their hiring processes’ legal compliance;
- reverse engineer or copy the Service or use it to build a competing dataset or service.
Messages that our systems classify as likely spam may be declined or not delivered, per the recipient’s settings, without notice to the sender.
8. Moderation and enforcement
Users may report content. We may review, remove, or restrict content, and suspend or terminate accounts, where we reasonably believe these Terms or the law are violated, or to protect users or the Service. We are not obligated to monitor content but reserve the right to do so.
9. Intellectual property and feedback
The Service — its software, design, and content other than Your Content — is owned by InterviewMe or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service per these Terms. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact us as described in Section 15 with the details required for a takedown notice and we will respond as the law requires. Feedback you send us may be used without obligation to you.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OF ANY PROFILE, AI-GENERATED ANSWER, VERDICT, ANALYTICS FIGURE, OR SEARCH RESULT, AND WE MAKE NO PROMISE OF ANY EMPLOYMENT OUTCOME. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (a) InterviewMe WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITIES (INCLUDING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES), EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY; AND (b) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY WHERE THEY CANNOT LAWFULLY BE APPLIED.
12. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless InterviewMe and its officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law — including, for recruiter users, claims arising from your hiring practices.
13. Termination
You may deactivate or permanently delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion follows the process described in the Privacy Policy and cancels any active subscriptions at the payment processor. We may suspend or terminate your access as described in Section 8, and on termination for cause no refund is due. Sections 3 (as to the retention described), 4–5 (as to disclosures already made), and 9–16 survive termination.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. Disputes not resolved informally shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and each party consents to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits rights consumers hold under mandatory law of their place of residence.
15. Contact
Questions about these Terms, copyright notices, and legal correspondence may be sent to realhuman@interviewme.now or through the Messages feature of your InterviewMe account. We deliver formal notices to you via the email address on your account or by system message.
16. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and InterviewMe regarding the Service. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stands. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced by system message or email at least 14 days before taking effect, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
