InterviewMe

Frequently asked questions

Short answers about what InterviewMe is, how your profile answers on your behalf, and what it costs.

The basics

Who runs InterviewMe?

One person — Max K., an engineering manager and software engineer in Reno, Nevada, who wrote the code, runs the servers, and answers the mail. The About page says who, how InterviewMe makes money, what your AI will and won’t do, and what the site never does.

What is InterviewMe?

A free, one-page interactive résumé. You get a profile at your own address — interviewme.now/@you — with your highlights, your résumé, your work, and a chat box. Anyone who lands on it can type a question, and an AI answers on your behalf using only the material you provided. You see every question that was asked and every answer it gave.

Is it really free?

Yes. The profile, the chat, email alerts when a new question arrives, and your analytics dashboard are free and stay free. Premium is an optional upgrade that adds depth — it is never required to have a working, shareable profile.

How long does it take to set up?

About ten minutes. Upload a résumé and answer a few questions in a short guided interview; the answers become material your profile can draw on. You can add more documents, highlights, and portfolio pieces whenever you like.

How do I share my profile?

Put the link wherever a job application asks for a website or portfolio, in your email signature, and in your social bios. Every profile has a permanent link; you can also choose a handle so the address reads interviewme.now/@yourname.

How the answers work

Is the AI really speaking for me?

It answers only from what you gave it — your résumé, your documents, and your own words from the interview. It does not invent a career from your job titles, and when your material does not cover a question it says so rather than guessing. Your page states plainly that the answers are AI-generated on your behalf, so no visitor is misled into thinking they are chatting with you live.

Can I see what people ask?

Yes — every question and every answer, in full. If an answer is thin or off, you fix it by adding the material that was missing. Most people find the questions themselves are the useful part: they are real, current feedback on what employers want to know.

Will I be told when someone asks a question?

Yes. New-question email alerts are free, and you choose the pace in Settings: as they happen, hourly, daily, or off.

Your profile and your privacy

Who can see my profile?

Your profile page is public by design — it is a link you hand out, and visitors need no account to read it or ask it a question. Downloading your résumé is a separate permission: by default it requires a signed-in account, and in Settings you can open it to anyone, restrict it to paying hiring accounts, limit it to people you have shared contact details with, or turn it off entirely.

Can I see who viewed my profile?

No. Your analytics show counts — views, questions, search appearances, shortlists, résumé downloads, and which sites sent visitors your way — never who was behind them. You do see every question asked, in full.

What is a handle?

An optional short name for your address: interviewme.now/@yourname. Handles are 3 to 64 characters of lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens. Your original link keeps working even after you choose one.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Settings offers both a pause — deactivate, which takes your profile offline and can be reversed — and permanent deletion. The Privacy Policy describes exactly what is removed and how your material is handled while your account is active.

Plans and pricing

What does Premium add, and what does it cost?

Premium is $19 a month or $190 a year. It adds the exact text of the searches hirers ran when your profile came up, trend charts, a full year of analytics history with custom date ranges, spreadsheet export, up to 12 stored résumés (free accounts keep 5), up to 5 portfolios (free accounts have 1), profile background images, and a badge. The full list is on the Premium page.

I'm between jobs. Is there any help?

Yes: a free year of Premium. It is an honor system — no proof, no card, no deadline, one free year per account — and it applies to existing Premium members too. Everything about it is on the between-jobs page.

Can I keep more than one résumé?

Yes. Free accounts can store up to 5 résumés and choose which one the profile offers for download; Premium raises the limit to 12, so you can keep one tailored to each kind of role.

For hiring teams

How do recruiters and hiring managers use InterviewMe?

Anyone can open a profile and ask it questions, no account needed. A Recruiter account adds search across every profile in plain English — describe the person you are looking for rather than matching keywords — plus folders to organize candidates and the ability to put a question to a whole list at once.

What does a Recruiter account cost?

$48 a month or $480 a year. Profile owners see the questions their profile is asked, as on any visit; searches and shortlists reach them only as counts.
